Second Chance Poster

"… after the death of her husband, a widow looses faith in life, deeming it over, but due to a second chance… her life actually just begun."

Faith and Derrick Coles are newlyweds, undoubtedly in love, and completely invigorated and hopeful of what life can bring them as a couple.  They just purchased a new house together and are extremely excited about moving in, raising a family, and launching their lives… what could go wrong...

On the eve of Faith’s birthday, Derrick decides to wake up extra early the next morning and head into New York City before going to work; to purchase his wife’s birthday present.   On that day, Faith is awakened by a startling phone call from Vicky, her best friend.  Faith runs to the living room and clicks on the television.  She can’t believe her eyes.  Two planes directly hit the World Trade Center and bring the two twin towers crashing down.  Faith frantically calls Derricks office, but she can’t break through.   She calls again and again and again…it’s busy.  Faith finally reaches his secretary and learns that Derrick has not made it into the office.

With tears in her eyes, Faith waits for the phone to ring and she constantly scans the window awaiting Derricks arrival… but the phone never rings… and Derrick never arrives…

It’s almost two years later, and Faith’s still hurt by the loss of her husband.  With her recent novel soon to be published, Faith’s career is the only element in her life that’s finally making progress.  Faith’s social life and ability to allow people into her life is greatly hindered.  Furthermore, her faith in men, life, and God has been shattered due to the demise of Derrick.  To make matters worse, Faith’s publisher is threatening to hold the release of her book if the ending is not changed.  And with her mortgage and other bills due, that’s the last thing she needs.

The more Faith tries to go on living… the more Faith can’t stop thinking, and dreaming, and visioning Derrick’s touch, his hug, his laugh, and the life they once shared.  Her pain has fully resurfaced and her only anecdote for life is deceased…

Imagine a loved one who has passed away.  It could be a mother, grandmother, best friend, or spouse.  And if you had the opportunity at a second chance to see your loved one for a day, an hour, or even a minute; what would you give to touch, and talk, and laugh again with her/him?  And what would you say?  Faith has that opportunity at a second chance to once again see her husband for one hour… one hour only.

But monetary and material items are useless as payment.  And with Faith’s lack of confidence in God and of life’s possibilities, Faith is ultimately challenged to dig deep inside her essence, her core, and decide what else she can offer for a shot at a Second Chance…

The Seekers Poster

"A group of bounty hunters with the highest capture rate in the country, trained in martial arts, weaponry, mental and spiritual discipline evolve.  If you run, they will find you!"

After eight years on the Alaskan Pipeline and working as a bounty hunter on off seasons, Joshua finally quits the fishing business and returns to New Jersey. While trying to find a way to revolutionize bounty hunting, Joshua begins heavy studying in ancient Egyptian philosophy.  Constantly seeking knowledge from different teachers, hoping to transcend his thinking, Joshua becomes a pupil of John Henry Clarke.  The more Joshua learns, an internal conflict arises between his Egyptian beliefs and bounty hunting.  Egyptian philosophy states that every man must evolve into a higher species… a Stellar Man!   But how can a fugitive evolve when he’s hunted and capture like an animal, being dragged off in handcuffs…

Striving to make bounty hunting his livelihood, Joshua meets a local detective who partners with Joshua.  Close to retirement, the detective is extremely impressed with Joshua’s determination and vision for an elite crew of bounty hunters who practice, human decency, a strict moral code, and meticulous training.  These men would be shining examples for the community and the fugitives they pursue… THE SEEKERS are born!

The hunts begin with capturing small time fugitives for $10,000… $15.000. Most of the felons are local offenders hiding out in their mother’s basement or girlfriend’s apartment, usually charged with drug cases.  With every capture, The Seekers grow in recognition and bigger jobs come their way.  From a few thousand to $50,000 and $100,000, cops, FBI agents, and bail bondsmen now officially recognize the Seekers.  They create a unique look, wearing black masks, black parka vests, with an Egyptian Ankh, meaning family, hanging from their neck.  All of the seekers have the same weapons; a 32mm. glock, shotgun, stungun, binoculars, night-vision goggles, and a laptop computer.  They all take on Seeker code names like, “Rock” or “Job” and they develop guidelines and regulations for people interested in becoming a Seeker.  One must be fit mentally, physically, and spiritually.  Six books must be read; The Kyballion, At the Feet of the Master, The Secret Science, The Science of Love, Stellar Man, and The Art of War.  Every Seeker must train in some form of martial arts, Karate, Apkido, Boxing etc.  After being accepted as a Seeker, each member must read a book a month and continue their overall training, or else they’ll be asked to leave the organization.

The Seekers usually work solo, but if the fugitive is large enough, they’ll often work as a pair or trio.  Most of their time is spent establishing contacts, smoothing informants, and hibernating at stakeouts.  Joshua’s world is soon shattered when he receives a phone call from Solomon, another Seeker, and solid friend, informing him that a former Seeker, Dimitrius, was killed by two gun shots; one shot pierced his chest and the other hit his temple.   Joshua is immediately at a lost for words trying to understand why.  He blames himself misunderstanding the situation.  With the cops not properly handling the case, the Seekers quickly take to the street working every angle to find Dimitrius’s killer.   Jedidiah soon learns the killer is, Bilal, a wanted fugitive for the distribution of narcotics. They soon learn Bilal fled to Georgia to hideout with his longtime girlfriend, but he’s not alone.  Bilal has at least eight armed companions who run with him and take no shit.

Joshua is now at a crossroads.  Part of him is in full agreement with his organization of taking down Bilal, but another side of Joshua knows his own rage is out of revenge and anger, which contradicts his personal teachings and the Seekers code of ethics.  Joshua knows he’ll coldly take Bilal out when he’s found. This internal conflict of evolving as a stellar man and wanting his captives to evolve has always struggled to find a peaceful resolve within bounty hunting ever since his return from Alaska.  Retribution and resentment has no place within Joshua’s ways, but with a dangerous fugitive on the run, Joshua would hate to see another life snuffed out!
